There are dozens of problems that can cause your computer to crash – from simple causes like malware to more serious problems like hard drive failure. Now, there is no other solution to a randomly freezing computer than to find the root of the problem and chop it from there.
Does it freeze or is it something else?
You can't solve a problem if there are no problems in the first place so check first. You can check your machine for freezing by pressing the Num Lock key when it becomes inactive. If it lights on and off, your computer is not frozen.
If it's not frozen, go to the Task Manager by pressing CTRL + ALT + DEL. You can manage the activities of your PC from there; close any applications that are not responding. If it really crashed down, manually turn off your computer by unplugging it from the electric outlet or by pressing the 'on' button on the CPU.

Again, get the latest updates for the hardware's driver. It may also be the case that you need to correctly install the driver for the hardware. Faulty drivers are not uncommon and if you have these installed in your computer, you may experience problems like intermittent computer freezing.
Failing hard disk. Errors in the hard disk, which can be caused by overheating or heavily defragmented files, can lead to computer crashing. This problem is more common among laptops. For other types of computers, however, fragmentation of the hard drives is the more common reason for crashing. The solution to this is simple and readily available – run the Defragmenter tool.
Malicious applications like Trojans, virus, root kit, key loggers, adware and spyware can also cause your computer to crash. computer randomly freezes when these are present in the PC's system because they eat up computer resources and destroy files in the process. i have a problem with my computer?
i had it formatted and reinstalled windows.but it is still giving me trouble like:
1.if an error shows up,i press ctrl+alt+del but the window doesnt appear
2.i tried to copy some music,kits and other things because i need min 5 gb to enter my network .the problem is that the computer restarts itself if i give it a big amount of files to copy.
3.sometimes the pointer just stops and everything is motionless so i have to restart it
any ideas what is going on?
Maybe it is your hard drive problem. If your screen suddenly turned into blue,surely its your drive is the culprit
