Huge change in plans - 03 Aug 2008

Okay, here's the deal.
I'm reaching a very critical point at school. Like...a do-or-die point. As in, if I don't do well this coming semester, fecal matter will collide with fans.
As such, production on RFLegends will be halted for the next four months. I might do a few things here and there such as storywriting, but as far as actually drawing the episodes (which is the most time-consuming task of all), that won't happen again until Christmas break.
As far as Karashi's Diner is concerned, I really have no idea what I'm going to do with it at this point. I had a story planned out, but I can't seem to get anywhere with it, especially because I'd been working on RFLegends so much in the past, and then I've got another project in the works, which is starting to slowly surpass some of my other writing work. As such, Karashi's Diner has also been halted until further notice.
However, it's been a long time coming since Volume 1 and Volume 2 still hasn't come out, after almost two years of broken promises to the three people who are eagerly waiting on the book. What I've ultimately decided to do was to go ahead and put out Episode 5 as a standalone book, and from that point forward, remaining episodes will be done as single books, with extras and such, then omnibuses will be produced for every four or five episodes reached. It's more efficient that way. The story comes out sooner, and I don't get complacent toward the end of production. In the end, everybody wins, right?
At any rate, I'll try to keep the site updated, at the very least with news and occasional art. Sorry about all the delays. Things have really come down to the final fifteen minutes here at school and I've really got to put on my game face, or else I'll lose the championship, so to speak.
Keep tabs on the rant section too. Chris or I may post something interesting there every now and then as well.
Further Progress - 30 May 2008

I've been cranking out a few more RFL pages as of late. I've noticed my art style evolve quite a bit since the beginning and I'm actually really impressed with myself, although it's probably expected since I've worked for two years just to cough up six episodes.
Anyway, I've been really busy lately, so a release date for the next Karashi's Diner is pretty much up in the air. Maybe Chris has an idea for a filler.
Progress Bars Updated - 30 Apr 2008

Things are coming along smoothly with Episode 6. As such, the progress bars have been kicked in the face to reflect that.
Unfortunately, with finals coming up and school thoroughly thrusting its hand up my ass, it's hard to find the time or will to draw. So instead, I've found other things related to RFLegends to keep me busy for the time being. All of Episode 5 has made it into the book proper, which has been has since been reformatted to accommodate the newer, larger pages. Unfortunately, Microsoft Word loves to screw up layouts, so it's like I absolutely CAN'T mess up unless I want to reinsert a whole chapter, and that's no fun when you've already got 50 pages in.
I've got no idea what the weekend will throw at me, but I'll keep chugging along until it comes. Until then, I'll be drawing.
Previews - 20 Apr 2008

As some of you (more like two of you) may already know, I decided back in October of last year that I would no longer just throw up sketched pages for RyuFox Legends, publish the book, and call it a day, but rather from Episode 6 onward, I would be inking the pages individually.
Well, take a look at how that's turning out:
What do you think? Not too shabby if I do say so myself.
And for more comic-y goodness, I've included a Harrison and Sanosuke strip as a new art piece. Hopefully, Karashi's Diner will get an update sometime this week too.
p.s., Chris already has a story in mind, so that's gonna be our first arc for the Diner :)

I managed to get a SECOND one out in the same week.
This is history, folks. Mark this day down on your calendar as the day Ike managed to put out TWO website updates in the same week amidst schoolwork, RFLegends pages, and the inability to see more than three feet in front of his face.

I've posted a new rant. The one about Megaman in Brawl was getting kind of redundant (especially since now we know Capcom is run by idiots who don't know how to capitalize on a marketing opportunity).
Hopefully you've been keeping up (because I sure haven't). Chris posted a new rant as well.
In other news, the progress bars have been updated just a bit. RFLegends Episode 5 is the longest so far, currently at 138 pages. I don't see it stopping before 150, either D:
