If you are welding Ti in atmosphere you will need the largest gas lens and shield cup as possible. (I use a 3" diameter one, special made) It is best to weld Ti in an argon chamber. All sides of the Ti welding area must be protected from atmosphere other wise you are going to trash your weld. Any discoloration of the weld area is not acceptable short of a slight straw color (no discoloration preferred).
