Tips That Could Help Fix Slow Running Computer
It's expected. Computers slow down, depreciate, age, and then eventually die. And there's nothing you can do to prevent it from completely shutting down. The first symptom – windows slow startup – occurs then it's downhill from there. It takes years, though, before the computer completely shuts down and there are dozens of things you can do to delay its eventual depreciation. The tips below on how to fix slow running computer can help you do just that.
{Tip #1} Remove all unneeded programs. Overtime, the computer packs up downloaded files and installed applications which eventually use up disk space. Eventually, the pc will bog down because there is not much disk space left for it to operate smoothly. The solution here is obvious: Remove all files and programs that are not regularly used and delete those that are not useful anymore. Doing this will allow your computer to have more disk space that can make it work faster and better.
Disable all the unneeded icons and files on your desktop, delete applications via the Control Panel, and delete all running programs 'in the background'. Having these programs in these different locations only mean one thing: valuable resources are wasted. Fix your computer's speed by disabling all unnecessary applications.
Tip: When removing or deleting any file from your computer, be sure that you know what that particular does in your pc's system. Some programs that you don’t know may actually have negative effects on your pc's system if deleted. Disabling some files from your pc can cause it to malfunction. So you see, it is easy to mess things up if you remove the wrong file. Once you have cleared your pc off the file, go to the Recycle Bin and fully delete it. This will ensure that the traces of files are removed from the system – although maybe not from the registry – so be sure to check the Recycle Bin.
{Tip #2} Put in added memory. If your pc is outdated, boosting its speed may be done by upgrading its memory. In general, adding twice its original memory will give it good boost and enhancements general performance. To get more information on how memory upgrades work, check out other online resources or consult your local computer technician for his recommendations.
{Tip #3} Run the Error Checking tool on all hard drives. Use this utility tool to identify any damaged files in the hard drives. Computer speed usually slow down when there are errors in the hard drives.
{Tip #4} Install the original OS of the pc.
This operation may take a while to finish and careful planning is often needed to make it work. But once you successfully complete this procedure, your computer will run in it's optimal speed.
{Tip #5} Use the Deframentation tool.
Defragmentation is usually the very last thing computer users really want to run in the pc. Unfortunately though, this is among the best tools that can actually easily fix slow running computer. Like arranging your file cabinet, the Defragmenter neatly organizes the sectors of your hard drives, making it easier for your computer to locate all the files it needs to run all its applications.

One problem for companies trying to launch online music services is the
gantlet the major labels make them go through to obtain content or use it in
new ways. That's something The Echo Nest, which provides an online platform
and music-analysis tools for application developers, is trying to solve.
