Feeder Fishes for predators?
Hi,
Currently I have a 100 gallon aquarium keeping a 8" RTC and a 5" Silver Arowana, 1 problem about keeping them is they non-stop eating all the feeder fishes that I've bought that i would think would last for a week or so.. Unfortunately they've consumed all 80-100 of them in 1-2 days. So I would like to know is there any efficient and smart way of keeping those feeder fish in order to keep them in stock so it can last for a week .. i guess. All I need to know is how many feeder fish is required just enough for my RTC and Arowana for 1 night? However is there any alternate live food that I could feed them? A larger type of fish perhaps?
I have heard several people have had luck with meal worms. They are about 2.50 for 50 of them and you can breed them yourself to cut down cost even more. Or if you go to a bate shop you maybe able to find live or dead fish of different sizes that will probably be reasonably priced. Hope that helps!
