Things You Can Do To Make Money From Home

With the economy in its current slump more and more people are turning to the Internet to discover how they can make money online. However, before you even begin you should really take the time to consider which option will work the best for you. Here are just a few of those great ways.

First of all there is affiliate marketing. This is great if you do not have a product of your own to sell because you can then sell someone else's products instead. Each time you recommend the affiliate product you will earn a commission off that eventual sale.

With these programs you will sign up for a free account then you will be able to choose from thousands of different products that you can promote. Each time a sale is generated from your advertisement you earn a commission off that sale.

To make things even easier, you have Affiliate Program networks, which is basically your one-stop affiliate management shop. These networks have a list of literally thousands of affiliate programs that you can sign up for, from things as simple as merchandise in the Leather Brown Boots store to major, high-end financial products like Real Estate Investment courses. Once you sign up for an account, you can keep track of your programs, earnings, website visitors and even set up an affiliate program for your very own products when you're ready to get into info-preneuring.

One the fastest growing trends on the internet these days is infopreneuring. This basically means that you can make money by selling information. You simply write about a subject that you are highly familiar with, gather enough resources to put into the form of an ebook and sell it to people looking for information on that particular subject. It may take a little time to compile enough valuable references, but once you're done, you have a tool that will help you establish yourself as an expert in your field if you market it properly.

One of the best advantages writing ebooks would be that you will be able to keep all the profits for yourself. However, you may quickly find that it is time consuming.

Finally you can also earn an income by selling products through the various companies that use a direct sales force (you) to get their products into the hands of consumers. With tools such as Twitter, Facebook and other social media, finding prospects has never been easier. At a basic level, all you'd have to do is gather up a bunch of followers from all over the globe to get the word out about your product. Then, of course, you'd need to interact with them, share information, and also ask and answer any questions that they may have. This is a great way to start creating a buzz for you business.

A final great way to earn money online is becoming a distributor for a certain product. There are thousands of companies offering direct sales programs for their services or merchandise. People sell things from pet food to home decor accents or even furniture. Some programs will ask for an up-front investment to receive their 'starter-kit' or sales materials, but there are many companies that will let you get started for very little or no money at all.

All of these are great ways to make money from home. You should consider giving one of these a try today.

No, modifying the DLLs that come with Windows is not supported (The Old New Thing)

From the _I can't believe I had to write that_ file comes this question from a
customer:

> Our customer is modifying the ABC.DLL file that comes with Windows in order
to accomplish XYZ. Is this supported?

No, of course this isn't supported. I can't believe I had to write that. if
you modify a system file, then the thing you're running isn't Windows any more
but is rather some sort of operating system that resembles Windows in many
significant ways.

(Imagine the extreme case of this: The customer modifies NTOSKRNL.EXE,
KERNEL32.DLL, USER32.DLL, etc. so that they happen to be byte-for-byte
identical to the files that shipped with Windows 2000. Does this mean that
Microsoft supports Windows 2000?)

> The customer is just looking for an official Microsoft statement that this
is not supported. They know that it's a bad idea, but their client wanted to
have this feature, so when the customer tells the client "No, we can't do
this," they need some sort of justification.

Oh, I see now. The customer is chicken and wants Microsoft to be the bad cop
when they deliver unfavorable news to their client.

My fear is that the company, by ...
